lmao Durus Vir got owned by the PvP frenzy
Yes, I know that this has been posted a million times since the patch and this isn't going to be any different but I had to vent.
2 weeks ago, a few days before the patch, my guild got it's first Noth kill. People were so excited, hyped up, ready to come back next week, and hopefully make progress on Patchwerk. Then this patch came out.
Suddenly, the same people who thought Naxx was a fun diversion til BC came out said screw it, I'll go for PVP easy epics. We had good attendence yesterday, first raid since patch, I thought we had a chance to get some more Naxx in. Well we barely killed Anub because people couldn't do it without their precious mods, wiped on Razuvious because the person who does the first mind control (I do 2nd when it's already set up) didn't show, I was forced to step up and learn it, and in the end couldn't do it.
Tonight's raid? 29 people and called. I'm pretty sure it's over for us, and I'm beyond disappointed. I know Naxx healing gear will be useless for me in BC... I don't CARE. I was there for the experience. I loved learning the new fights, and if we wiped in the process who cares. I did PvP last week because we weren't raiding and everyone else was, and I hated it so much I would rather delete my account then set foot in another Arathi Basin. I got the GM healing mace cause I hoped to use it as a *PvE* upgrade.
The thing is, not everyone who plays this game is a loot @*#@! or loves PvP. I play because I enjoy scripted encounters, dungeons with cool atmospheres, the challenge of learning a fight, then gearing up to try something harder. Since I hit lv 60 I worked hard in this game in hopes of getting the gear to join a guild that might kill Kel'Thuzad before BC came out. When I realized that wasn't going to happen, I applied for a guild with 3 Naxx bosses down, and in a few weeks in there the total is now 5, so at least I got to see something... but we would have gotten further judging by how psyched people were when Noth died, and now that isn't happening any longer. I probably won't set foot in Naxx ever again, except for one time at 70 perhaps, and now the game is basically useless, dead, whatever to me until BC when I can at least try to get gear from Kharazhan good enough to get into a top guild on the server (because in the end I started WoW too late to do it for Naxx). Between them being full on healers and my gear being less then full tier 2, the 2 guilds on this server that are further progressed then mine was are out of my reach.
So thank you Blizzard, for completely ruining the game for those of us that don't like to PvP and weren't in a guild close enough to the end of Naxx to keep going. Thanks a lot. And accuse me of whining and qq-ing all you want, doesn't change the fact the game was ruined for people like me.
